Revisiting Nicole's Tenor Ukulele

Those of you who know me might have noticed that I am not particularly attached to one ukulele. I usually build one for myself and then keep it until someone wants to buy it. Then I just make another. This constant turnover allows me to try different things, which I appreciate, but it probably creates more work for me in the long run. In Nicole’s case, she is just as fiercely loyal to her ukuleles as her friends. Her first uke was a Mya-Moe I built for her with some beautiful custom inlay by Larry Robinson. You can see it here.

She played that until about 2019, when Beansprout re-launched. She wanted another Myrtle tenor, but wanted to be more involved with selecting the wood and details. I am quite proud of her second uke and the article I wrote for Ukulele Magazine describing the process. I am hoping today that you can follow the link and read the article. Here it is.
