The Wayfinder Comes Home For A Checkup
In 2020 I built an instrument that was not meant to sell. Instead, I planned to send it around for different people to play and experience. I named it The Wayfinder, in honor of the Polynesian navigators who originally found Hawaii. I sent it out with a notebook for the caretakers to write/scrapbook in, documenting its journey. If you haven’t followed along with this project, you can see more about it here.
The Wayfinder just came back for a small repair, here I am unboxing it and showing a bit of the notebook. Now that I think about it, I should scan some more pages after I go through them.
Next, I thought I would share one of my favorite parts of the project, when Daniel Ward wrote a theme song for The Wayfinder!
