Three Updates!

#1- Remember Tom’s Regal tenor guitar? I made a video of the fretwork for you. I think the total time to do the work was 90 minutes including filming. The fretboard is poplar stained black and had lots of discoloration, I didn’t mess with staining it again, I like the wabi-wabi look of a well played fretboard. We just shipped it back and I now realize that I didn’t get a sound sample for you, sorry!

#2- My first blog post for Fine Woodworking Magazine is up. I think you have seen most of it before, but go over and check it out anyway. They have asked me to write a blog every month, so stay tuned for more tool ergonomics in the future.

#3- It’s my 46th birthday Saturday and we are going to Portland for a big day. We are visiting friends, picking up a trumpet for Henry (he starts 6th grade band in the fall), fixing a patron’s uke, picking up an old taro patch, going out to eat, playing Magic: The Gathering and picking up a box of repair projects.
